Who is eligible to participate in UTSAV?

Only Bonafide full-time students of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and its constituent institutions enrolled in a degree, postgraduate, PhD, diploma, or any course of at least 6 months duration are eligible to participate.

Is there any registration fee for the events?

No. There is no registration fee for participating in any UTSAV event.

Is spot registration allowed?

No. Spot registration is not permitted. Participants must register through their institution/department on the designated date.

Do participants need to carry any identification?

Yes. All participants must carry their valid MAHE ID card at all times during the event.

When should participants report for their event?

Participants must report at least 30 minutes before the scheduled event time and be ready to perform.

What happens if a participant is late?

If a participant is not present at the scheduled time, he or she will lose the opportunity to perform, and will not be allowed to perform later.

Are practice sessions provided?

Yes. Stage practice sessions will be allotted by MAHE CCC during the days of UTSAV. Staff coordinators must coordinate the practice schedule.

Are musical instruments or orchestra provided?

No. Orchestra or instrumental support will not be provided or allowed for certain non-classical vocal events. Participants may perform with or without karaoke where applicable.

How should audio tracks be submitted for performances?

Audio tracks must be submitted in MP3 format only to the AV desk at UTSAV main pandal by 11:00 AM on the day of the event through the staff coordinator.

Can a student participate in multiple events scheduled at the same time?

Participants are advised not to register for events with overlapping schedules. The organizers are not responsible for schedule clashes.

How are points awarded to decide overall championship trophies?

Points are awarded based on positions in events:

Solo Events

1st Place – 10 pts

2nd Place – 8 pts

3rd Place – 6 pts

Group Events

1st Place – 14 pts

2nd Place – 10 pts

3rd Place – 8 pts

How are winners decided in case of tied scores?

In the case of a tie, prize will be given to all the tied participants

What trophies are awarded at UTSAV?

The Champion Rolling Trophy, 1st Runner-Up, and 2nd Runner-Up are awarded to institutions based on total points scored.

Are participants responsible for their belongings?

Yes. Participants are responsible for their own valuables and belongings. The organizers are not responsible for any loss.

Can participants disclose their college identity during performances?

No. Participants must not reveal their name, college or institutional identity during the performance.

Are there any restrictions on performance content?

Yes. Performances must not include vulgarity, sensitive religious/political content, or offensive expressions. Violations may lead to disqualification.

What behavior is expected from participants?

Participants are expected to maintain discipline, sportsmanship, humility in victory, and grace in defeat. Misconduct may result in disqualification or banning from UTSAV.

Are dangerous stage activities allowed?

No. Throwing objects, spilling liquids, or dangerous stage activities are strictly prohibited.
